Es un análisis clínico que permite detectar si un paciente tiene osteoporosis, tiene una baja densidad ósea y, en consecuencia, más riesgo de desarrollar la enfermedad, está menopáusica y/o presenta déficits hormonales, o bien si tiene alguna enfermedad que pueda causar o empeorar la pérdida de masa ósea.

Calcio: Mide la cantidad de calcio en la sangre. El calcio es uno de los minerales más importantes del cuerpo. Es necesario para la salud de los huesos y los dientes, para el funcionamiento correcto de los nervios, los músculos y el corazón. Una concentración alta o baja de calcio en la sangre podría indicar enfermedad de los huesos, la tiroides o los riñones u otros problemas médicos.
Fósforo: Mide el nivel de fosfato inorgánico en sangre. El fosfato se elimina a través de los riñones. Por lo tanto, la causa más común de la presencia de niveles elevados de fosfato es la incapacidad de los riñones para eliminarlo.
Vitamina D3 : Mide el nivel de esta vitamina, que es esencial porque su función es ayudar absorber el calcio.
